Just when I think I'm getting close to being done with all of my organizing and cleaning tasks I find something else that needs to be cleaned. I guess what is happening is the cleaner my house gets the more places that aren't particularly clean stick out.
One thing I've noticed is I tend to ignore the kitchen surfaces in our house. We have salmon colored, laminate counter tops. I don't particularly mind the laminate counter tops, but the color of salmon is not particularly attractive to look at. So honestly I just don't care about those counter tops.
What I should care about is my health, and having dirty counter tops covered in germs and bacteria is probably not the best thing to do. The best thing to do is to make sure I clean all these surfaces right away. I need to properly clean them too, with warm, soapy water, and make sure to use a towel to dry off these surfaces and not let them air dry.
With all of the bacteria that can cover kitchen counters and other surfaces I think it's important to not just wipe them down carelessly, but to make sure they get cleaned properly.
