I decided to go with that craving, and increase my vegetable intake. I've been enjoying eating more salads, and I've been learning that all veggies are not created equal when it comes to eating healthy too. Some of the vegetables that can be on your top ten list as a healthy choice are as follows:
- All green leafy vegetables (I've know this fact for awhile. I've also heard the deeper the green the better)
- Broccoli
- Brussel Sprouts (Yeah that's not going to happen for me. I hate brussel sprouts)
- Cauliflower (I have heard you can make this to replace mashed potatoes, but I haven't tried the recipe yet.)
- Red and Green Peppers
- Garlic and Onions
- Sweet Potatoes
- Tomatoes (Yes, I know it's a fruit, but it seems like a veggie to me)
- Green Peas
- Carrots
So hopefully I will continue to crave vegetables, and today wasn't just a fluke.
