Day 169- Perseverance (Never Give Up or Get Discouraged)

Today I learned a lesson on perseverance. This is kind of continuation from yesterday, but at the same time it feels so different. I learned that I need to never give up. I knew that being on standby was a long shot, and that I most likely would have to stick with my original flight, but I never gave up. I tried every different flight going into Madison that I could think of, and I never let it get me down.

I made calls to see about getting on an earlier flight and I did end up getting a flight that was direct from Detroit to Madison and got into Madison a half an hour earlier. So my perseverance did work a little bit.

I never made it on any of the standby flights, but I stuck with it, and I even gave that lesson in perseverance to another girl that was on standby for what would be my final flight. I told her I wasn't on standby anymore, and that some of the other people weren't on standby either, so she probably moved up the list. I told her she had a good shot at the next flight, and that I thought she would make it.

She, a long with all my other standby buddies ended up making it on the same flight as me. So we all made it to Wisconsin. The funny thing is nobody seemed to get too discouraged. We were all in this together, and when we got on our flight we were all checking to make sure everybody got on.
