I hardly ever keep cash with me anymore. Usually if I get something I'll just use my debit or credit card depending on what I'm purchasing, but I have found that it is much more difficult to keep track of where my money is going.
So from now I will use only cash on my everyday spending. The one exception to this new rule of mine is when I fill up my gas tank in my car; I will still use my debit card for that purchase.
The good thing about using cash is I'll be able to fill my change jar a lot quicker (I don't usually spend my change. I put it in a jar, and take it to the bank when it gets full), and I think I'll save a lot more money, because I'll be more aware of my spending.
I figure when I deposit my paycheck every couple of weeks I'll get enough cash to last me those couple of weeks. If it runs out that's too bad. I will just have to do without.
I will still carry my debit card for emergency purposes, but for the most part that will be staying in my wallet.
I always use my debit card, but check my account every night to keep track of my spending.
